In response to the unavoidable cancellation of this year’s DRESDEN MARATHON, we received almost exclusively positive feedback. Thank you very much for this. Thank you for your patience, your understanding and your optimistic thoughts and wishes. This gives us the power and confidence to do everything we can to make the 22nd DRESDEN MARATHON on October 17th, 2021 a true festival of runners. Special thanks also go to all of you who have donated your entry fee or part of it to cover expenses already made or to support the running clubs otherwise involved in the organization.
On 21/22 August all previously registered participants of the DRESDEN MARATHON 2020 were written to and informed by email. So far, almost 40% have decided to transfer the starting place to 2021. We are still missing a response from around 30% of the participants. Please remember to click on the “Refund link” and select your option by October 15, 2020 at the latest. After this date, all remaining registrations in 2020 will automatically be carried over to 2021.
With these different route lengths, there is something for all ages and performance classes. Don’t miss out on the experience!

Due to the federal and state stipulations that major events will remain prohibited until at least the end of October, provided that the hygiene regulations and distance rules as well as seamless contact tracking cannot be guaranteed by all participants and spectators, we decided with a heavy heart on August 19, to cancel this year DRESDEN-MARATHON.
