Eligible participants are exclusively children born between 2012 and 2019.

Registration takes place online via the website www.dresden-marathon.com. By registering, a legal guardian of each participant confirms that they have read and accepted the General Terms and Conditions for events organized by Dresdner Laufevents und Touristik GmbH.

In the case of group registrations or third-party registrations, the person registering confirms that all registered participants have read and accepted the General Terms and Conditions.

Each participant will receive their own bib number. The bib number is non-transferable and must be worn clearly visible and unaltered on the front of the running shirt. It must not be folded or covered.

Registration deadline is October 22, 2026, at 11:59 PM.

On-site late registration will be available:
on October 23, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM
and on October 24, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM

Name changes or distance changes are free of charge until October 12, 2026.

All participants who register by October 22, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. will receive a registration confirmation by email shortly before the event.
This confirmation must be presented when collecting the race number – either digitally on a mobile device or, if not possible, as a printed copy.

Race number pickup by a third party is possible with a written authorization and the official registration confirmation.

The registration fee, which includes the organizational costs, is to be paid during registration via SEPA direct debit or PayPal.
Incorrect information and any resulting fees or return transactions are the responsibility of the participant.

International participants may choose between credit card, PayPal, or SEPA direct debit as payment method.

Please note:
Participation in SEPA procedures requires the payment service provider to have signed the European Payments Council (EPC) Adherence Agreement.

Once registered, there is no entitlement to a refund of the registration fee (including any additional booked services) in case of non-participation, including for medical reasons.
There is also no right to a voucher for future events (see Terms & Conditions).

Participation is at your own risk. By registering and collecting the bib number, all parents/guardians confirm that there are no health concerns regarding their child’s participation, that the child is in good physical condition, and capable of taking part in the event. The organizer accepts no liability for any health risks.

The organizer accepts no liability for lost clothing or other items. Lost and found items will be kept at the Info Stand during the event and afterwards at the office of Dresdner Laufevents und Touristik GmbH, HEINZ-STEYER-STADION, Magdeburger Straße 2, 01067 Dresden (for 14 days).

The expo features sports gear, running apparel, accessories, health & nutrition products, running events, travel offers and more.

The race area is located near the “Dresden-Hauptbahnhof”-mainstation (approx. 2 km) and “Dresden-Neustadt”-station (approx. 1 km). Dresden International Airport is about 8 km away. For local public transport schedules, please visit: www.dvb.de.

By car or bus, the marathon start can be reached via the A4 motorway, exit Dresden-Altstadt (78), then continue approx. 3 km on the B6 in the direction of the city centre/exhibition grounds.

Please note: On marathon day, detours and road closures may apply when coming from other directions.

From the Postplatz tram hub and the S-Bahn station Dresden-Mitte, it’s about a 10-minute walk. Tram lines 6 and 11 will take you to the “Kongresszentrum” stop.

Please check for public transport detours on race day.

The service provider for timekeeping is Baer-Service GmbH from Dresden.

Timing is done via RFID disposable transponder integrated into your bib. Attach your bib at chest height using the provided safety pins. Do not fold, cover, or alter the bib—otherwise your time may not be recorded.

Both gross and net times are recorded. Rankings are based on net times. There is no additional timing chip fee. No chip return required.

There is NO facility for storing clothing bags at the KIDS MARATHON.

From 1:15 PM on the grass in the infield of the Heinz Steyer Stadium.

The race starts at 1:30 PM.

All children receive a special DRESDEN-MARATHON-Kids-medal after the finish.

At the finish area, medals can be engraved individually.
A special children’s price of €5 incl. VAT applies.

Advance booking is not required or possible.

To ensure fairness and because of the significant performance differences between 7- and 14-year-old participants, there will be no award ceremony for the Kids’ Marathon.
