From Marathon Relay to ERTL Marathon Relay: A New Partner for the Years Ahead
We are delighted to welcome a new strong partner by our side: the ERTL Group is becoming the partner of our Marathon Relay. At the 26th DRESDEN-MARATHON, the competition will take place under its new name, the ERTL Marathon Relay, for the very first time.
We are particularly pleased that this partnership is designed for the long term. The DRESDEN-MARATHON and the ERTL Group have agreed on a partnership for the next three years. Together, we want to further develop the Marathon Relay and inspire even more runners to experience the 42.195 kilometres as a team.
A Saxon family business becomes part of the DRESDEN-MARATHON
The ERTL Group has been active in the automotive industry for more than 35 years and today operates eight locations across Saxony. Around 200 employees are part of the group.
Its core business is automotive retail and related services. In addition to representing various vehicle brands, its services include the sale of new and used cars as well as workshop, maintenance and repair services. The company also offers various mobility and fleet solutions for business customers.
This brings together two themes that are a natural fit for our new partnership: movement and mobility.
Together on the course
At the 26th DRESDEN-MARATHON, the new partnership will be visible not only through the name of the ERTL Marathon Relay. The ERTL Group will also be present at various points throughout the event weekend and directly on the course.
Right at the front: the official lead vehicle of the 26th DRESDEN-MARATHON will also be provided by the ERTL Group, accompanying the leaders through the streets of Dresden.
In addition, our runners can look forward to further highlights surrounding the new partnership over the coming weeks.

The Marathon Relay represents many of the qualities that also define a strong long-term partnership: togetherness, trust, team spirit and a shared goal. Four runners share the classic marathon distance and experience a very special race day together.
We are therefore all the more delighted to have found a partner in the ERTL Group that will support this competition over the coming years and work with us to develop it further.
